The Tennessee Volunteers improved to 5-5 on the season with a big win over a ranked Kentucky team on Saturday, and now a bowl berth is well within reach.

With two games remaining this year, the Vols host Mizzou this weekend before closing the regular season at Vanderbilt — both of which should be winnable for coach Jeremy Pruitt’s improving squad.

During his weekly television show on Sunday morning, Pruitt gave an early preview of the Tigers, saying it’ll be tough for the Vols defensively going up against star QB Drew Lock and Mizzou’s balanced offensive attack (via KnoxNews.com):

“Anytime you’ve got a guy that has the arm strength and the playmakers and the experience that he has, it will be a tremendous challenge for us defensively,” Pruitt said during Sunday’s airing of “The Jeremy Pruitt Show.”

The Tigers threw for 253 yards and ran for 253 yards in a dramatic win over Vanderbilt on Saturday, so the Vols will have to be ready for anything.

However, with a potential bowl berth on the line, the crowd at Neyland Stadium this coming weekend should be a good one, making things difficult for Missouri’s offense.
