The Arkansas Razorbacks have gotten off to a bit of a rough start in SEC play, dropping their last two games at home to Florida and LSU.

Now, the Hogs find themselves with a 10-5 record — not great, but not necessarily eliminating them from NCAA Tournament contention just yet. They’ll have to play better moving forward, though, to impress the selection committee.

On Monday afternoon, CBS Sports analyst Jon Rothstein joined “Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly” and said he hasn’t given up on the Razorbacks making the field of 68 just yet:

“Given Bud Walton Arena, given Daniel Gafford, Arkansas has an opportunity not just to get a bid, but could be the type of dangerous team that wins an 8-9 game like it did a couple of years ago against Seton Hall and pushes a No. 1 seed in the Round of 32,” he said. “I have not punted on Arkansas just because they’ve lost a couple of conference games at home. I think the requisites are still there — they proved that to me with a win against Indiana.”

The Razorbacks hit the road to take on ranked Tennessee and Ole Miss teams this week, so things may get worse before they get better.
