Todd Gurley on facing former Georgia teammate Sony Michel: 'I want to beat him'
Every so often, the Super Bowl will pit former teammates and friends against one another with a title on the line.
Just last year, we saw former South Carolina teammates and friends Alshon Jeffery and Stephon Gilmore do battle in the Super Bowl. This year, ex-Georgia RBs Todd Gurley and Sony Michel will square off, each in search of their first rings.
During Super Bowl Media Day on Monday night, Gurley said he has spoken with Michel this season, but added that he wants nothing more than to send Michel home with a Super Bowl loss:
Todd Gurley said he talked to Sony Michel a little bit this season but wants nothing to do with him until the game is over.

Obviously, that’s normal for players on opposite sides. Gurley and Michel seem to be friends, but that friendship is on hold this week.
Who will win? We’ll find out on Sunday, but both figure to play big roles for their teams.
