There may not be a hotter SEC program on the recruiting trail than Matt Luke’s Ole Miss program as a day after landing the top quarterback from the state of Alabama, the Rebels reached back into the Yellowhammer State to land a commitment from four-star receiver Kris Abrams-Draine.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Abrams-Draine is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 348 overall prospect and the No. 62 receiver in the nation for the 2020 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. He caught 44 passes for 584 yards and 11 touchdowns during his junior season for Spanish Fort High School and racked up a combined 941 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns last fall.

Abrams-Draine was at one point committed to LSU and picked Ole Miss over scholarship offers from Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida State and Oregon.

His pledge gives Ole Miss 20 total commitments for the 2020 recruiting cycle and 15th since the start of June. Abrams-Draine announced his decision via Twitter with the following statement:

“First off, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to compete at the next level. I also would like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for pushing me throughout high school. With that being said, I would like to announce that I am 1000 percent committed to the University of Mississippi #HottyToddy”
