The Alabama Crimson Tide won a national title during Jonathan Allen’s senior season, and they were a dominant team during that four-year stretch.

Now entering Year 3 with the Washington Redskins, Allen’s teams have gone 7-9 each fall. That is weighing on him as he prepares for the 2019 season.

After going 51-6 with Alabama, Allen said he’s tired of all the losing he’s experienced so far in the NFL (via Pro Football Talk):

“I’m tired of losing is all it comes down to,” Allen said, via Alex Andrejev of the Washington Post. “I hate losing. I hate losing more than I like winning, so I’m just trying to help this team win. . . .I’m just trying to do everything I can to help this organization win.”

In two seasons, Allen has recorded 71 tackles (11 for a loss) and nine sacks. Will 2019 be different? We’ll find out starting in September.
