The Razorbacks may have already had a full slate of games scheduled for the 2021 season but the program announced it has upgraded its schedule, shifting an FCS opponent to a later date in order to fit a new team on the schedule.

Arkansas announced on Friday that Rice has been added to the team’s 2021 nonconference schedule. The game is set to be played Sept. 4, 2021, which was originally scheduled to be the date for Arkansas hosting Missouri State. That Missouri State contest has been moved to the 2022 season.

Following this news, Arkansas nonconference schedule in 2021 consists of Rice, Texas (Sept. 11), Georgia Southern (Sept. 18) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Oct. 23).

Arkansas holds the all-time edge in the Rice series at 35-29-3.
