Alabama freshman K Will Reichard hasn’t kicked in a game for the Crimson Tide since Sept. 21. In that time, UA has managed just fine against Ole Miss (Sept. 28) and Texas A&M (Oct. 12) with Joseph Bulovas handling the kicking duties in those two victories. Reichard has been dealing with a hip flexor injury.

Nick Saban met the media after Wednesday’s practice and was asked for the latest on Reichard.

“He kicked some today,” Saban told reporters at his post-practice press conference. “He punted some yesterday. Still managing these days. Still day-to-day.”

Reichard’s practice workload is decided by how the training staff sees fit to manage the symptoms. While “day-to-day” might sound encouraging for Reichard’s return, it’s worth remembering that Saban also described the kicker as “day-to-day” the Wednesday ahead of the Texas A&M game.

A Hoover product, Reichard was rated the No. 1 kicker on the 247Sports Composite for the 2019 recruiting class. So far, he has made 4-of-7 field goals and 21-of-22 extra points in four games.
