If there were 2 SEC quarterbacks to get loads of attention, especially in the second half of the season, it was LSU’s Joe Burrow and Kentucky’s Lynn Bowden Jr.

They also got some accolades from the likes of ESPN’s Joey Galloway and Jesse Palmer in their weekly segment where they hand out helmet stickers for special performances.

“Get ready for this: 1 completion, 2 attempts, 4 yards, baby,” Palmer said. He also rushed for 284 yards and 4 scores, that breaks an SEC for the most rushing yards ever in a game by a quarterback.”

Meanwhile Galloway said Burrow deserved a helmet sticker just for the spelling of “Burreaux” in his Senior Day ceremony before the game. Galloway also noted that Burrow broke the record for SEC passing yards in a season, and tied the record for touchdowns in a season.

“How many stickers can Joe Burrow get in one season?” Galloway said.

Palmer chimed in, “Three. That’s how you know he’s the Heisman front-runner right now.”

While these were for Saturday’s performances, Bowden and Burrow could easily receive similar honors for season-long awards across the SEC.
