A notable coach’s son has set the details for his announcement about where he will play the 2020 season.

Chandler Morris, the son of former Arkansas coach and current Auburn offensive coordinator Chad Morris, will announce his commitment on Thursday just before kickoff of the Under Armour All-American game on ESPN2, he tweeted. Oklahoma appears to be the favorite for Morris, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, but his dad’s recent hire at Auburn could add a twist to the decision.

Morris is a 5-foot-11, 178-pound 4-star dual threat QB prospect from Dallas, Texas (Highland Park). He’s the No. 14 dual threat QB in this class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 52 player in Texas.

In November, Morris decommitted from Arkansas after his dad was fired in Fayetteville. Since then, the Under Armour All-American received offers from USC and TCU and visited Virginia Tech, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Morris now has 15 offers — including from Oklahoma, Clemson and Auburn — according to 247Sports. He notably didn’t sign during the Early Signing Period, and instead will ink his pledge in February.

“Just wasn’t ready to make a decision this early,” Morris said in a direct message on Twitter.
