Former Texas A&M TE Jace Sternberger catches first TD of NFL career

In his team’s most important game of the year, Jace Sternberger caught the first touchdown of his NFL career.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers found the former Texas A&M standout in the end zone on a fourth-quarter drive with Green Bay trailing by three scores. Check out the play below:

Sternberger’s catch and the extra point cut San Francisco’s lead in the NFC Championship Game to 34-20, but it might be too little too late for the Packers. The 49ers have managed to take significant time off the clock after the Sternberger touchdown.

Sternberger was activated from injured reserve in November. He appeared in six regular-season games, making one start. After a decorated Aggies career, the Packers drafted Sternberger with the No. 75 overall pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
