Missouri is off to a great start when it comes to the 2021 recruiting cycle as Eli Drinkwitz’s program just landed its second commitment for the program’s next recruiting cycle.

The Tigers’ latest pledge comes from Memphis University School standout, Gavin McKay. McKay currently holds scholarship offers from Indiana, Kansas, FAU and Liberty. McKay joins St. Louis defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo as 2021 recruits committed to Missouri.

The 6-foot-4, 206-pound Tennessee native is listed as a three-star prospect, the No. 37 tight end in the nation and Tennessee’s No. 33 overall recruit for the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He announced his commitment to Missouri with the following statement:

“First off, I’d like to thank God, without Him, I wouldn’t be in the position I am today. Thanks to all my family, friends, coaches, and teachers that have helped me during this journey, with a big thanks to Coach Drinkwitz and Coach Woods for giving me this opportunity to play in the most prestigious conference in college football. With that being said, I’d like to announce that I am fully committed to The University of Missouri #NewZou #ShowMe”
