The Kentucky Wildcats have been the hottest team in the SEC for a while now. They entered Tuesday night’s game at Texas A&M with an SEC-best 6-game winning streak.

That streak continued against the Aggies (who have been a much-improved team lately, too), and it was thanks in large part to the play of Immanuel Quickley.

With star big man Nick Richards largely ineffective (4 points and 6 rebounds), Quickley took over. He scored a career-high 30 points and also had 5 rebounds and 2 assists. He made 8 three-point shots, but he’s not just a long-range threat. Look at this nifty move that helped clinch the win:

That 69-60 win over the red-hot Aggies helped the Wildcats improve to 13-2 in SEC play. That guarantees they’ll continue to remain 2 games ahead of Auburn (and potentially LSU pending the outcome of Wednesday’s game against Florida).

The Wildcats are playing with a ton of confidence, and they certainly look like the best team in the SEC. They’ll take on Auburn in Lexington on Saturday, though, in a game that could help them clinch the SEC regular-season title.

Wendell Mitchell led Texas A&M with 18 points. Big man Josh Nebo scored 14 points and had 4 rebounds. Savion Flagg contributed 17 points in the loss.
