LSU finished the 2019-20 regular season with a 21-10 record and the No. 3 seed in the SEC Tournament. Unfortunately for the Tigers, the SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament have both been canceled.

With such a weird ending to the season, it can be hard to break down what happened and which goals were accomplished.

However, LSU coach Will Wade recently said he thinks it was a good year for the Tigers, explaining a couple of goals the team reached (via 247Sports):

“It’s not where we want to be, but we’re making progress,” Wade told Geaux247. “I said this to somebody yesterday, any season at LSU that ends in the Top 4 in the league and a for sure NCAA Tournament berth, which is what we were barreling towards, is a good season.

“Now, we’re not after good seasons, but with some of the turnover and everything that happened, I think this year, having a good season and not falling off the face of the map and having a little bit of consistency was, at the end of the day, that was the goal for us this year.”

For Skylar Mays and Marlon Taylor, this was the end of their collegiate careers. It’s a sad way to see 2 key players end their time in Baton Rouge, but at least they went out with a 21-win season.
