Joe Burrow just had perhaps the most impressive season ever seen from a college quarterback and if Myles Brennan can do something similar in Baton Rouge this fall for LSU, the Tigers have got to love their chances to land the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat quarterback prospect.

You don’t have to take our word for it, though, as five-star prospect Caleb Williams just announced his list of three finalists and LSU has made the cut. In addition to the Tigers, Williams announced Oklahoma and Maryland have also made his final list.

The Gonzaga High School standout from Washington, D.C., is rated as the nation’s No. 5 overall prospect and the No. 1 prospect from D.C. by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Can you imagine LSU landing a quarterback with this level of mobility in addition to his skills as a passer? That may be the only way to top what LSU did on the field last season as LSU’s coaching staff has already produced one Heisman Trophy winner at the quarterback position and hopes to have the opportunity to produce another if Williams signs on to play his college football in Baton Rouge.
