Many analysts and fans alike loved the moves the Denver Broncos made during the 2020 NFL Draft.

In Round 1, the team snagged Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy, adding Penn State WR KJ Hamler in Round 2. In Round 3, they scooped up LSU OL Lloyd Cushenberry III. In Round 4, they drafted Albert Okwuegbunam — Lock’s former tight end from Mizzou. And, finally, in Round 7, they picked Florida WR Tyrie Cleveland.

On Tuesday, Lock spoke with Denver reporters and said he welcomes the raised expectations this new dynamic offense puts on him:

“Yeah, I think the moves just said they saw something positive in the way I played in those last games and potentially being a guy here that can stay for a long time and help the Broncos win as many games as possible,” Lock said. “It means a lot to me to see that happen. It puts a little extra confidence on my back and, at the same time, those expectations do rise when you have so many weapons around you. But, I like to say I hold myself to high expectations and I like to put pressure on myself in general. I think the pressure put on myself always outweighs the pressure that comes from the media or even friends and family or whatever. I feel like the pressure I hang on my head always means the most to me.”

Lock seemingly has the weapons he’ll need to be successful in 2020. We’ll see what the Broncos can do.
