One of the top recruits from the Windy City will announce his commitment tomorrow, and a pair of SEC East programs are in his final 5.

Cameron James tweeted a graphic showing the logos of Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, Michigan State and Minnesota accompanied by the caption “Commitment tomorrow @3pm 💯🙏🏾.”

Out of Simeon, James is listed at 6-8, 280 pounds and rated 3-stars, the No. 12 recruit in the state of Illinois, No. 44 offensive tackle and No. 471 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. He has collected 18 scholarship offers so far.

247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu shared his evaluation of James in February:

Massive frame with long arms. Developing in the lower body still but has grown into a Power 5 offensive tackle prospect. Former basketball player who moves around the field easily for someone of his size. Runs very well when asked to pull and make blocks on the move. Has become more of a finisher and naturally overwhelms defenders with size and strength. Can bend, but needs to work on being more consistent with his pad level. Further along as a run blocker than pass blocker right now. He has great tools for pass pro, just needs more live reps there. Generally raw after not playing offensive tackle early in his high school career but upside is there for him to start at the Power 5 level and his tools are that of a prospect that eventually could play in the pros.
