When Lane Kiffin made his return to the Southeastern Conference this offseason after being hired by Ole Miss, this is exactly the type of content we were hoping to see from the first-year Rebel coach.

During his coaching career, Kiffin has never shied away from using social media to promote his teams and the Rebel coach continues to do that during his tenure in Oxford when he finds an opening.

The latest entertaining exchange from Kiffin started Tuesday night as he interacted with virtual Tennessee coach Gus Duggerton. Dan Katz of Barstool Sports, the man behind Gus Duggerton, shared that his Volunteer squad had reached No. 1 in the nation during his latest season in the NCAA Football 14 video game.

Kiffin, noting Ole Miss was ranked No. 3 in the nation in the virtual game’s poll responded to Katz, “See you in Atlanta” referencing the upcoming SEC Championship Game.

As easily predicted, it didn’t take long for a Twitter user to call out Kiffin, mocking a scenario where Ole Miss actually makes an SEC Championship Game.

That’s when Kiffin made a bold prediction that Ole Miss would be making the game during his second season in Oxford in 2021.

If nothing else, Ole Miss fans have got to appreciate the confidence their coach has heading into his first season in Oxford.

While many may roll their eyes at this prediction, many great SEC coaches have proven Year 2 is the year they manage to drastically improve their program and if Kiffin can do the same with all the talent he’s inherited in Oxford, who knows, maybe Ole Miss will finish the 2021 season in Atlanta as predicted by their new coach.
