There had been some rumblings this weekend that former Georgia QB (and current Ohio State QB) Justin Fields was back in Athens.

Now, it seems those rumors have been confirmed. And, it gets even more interesting from there.

According to 247Sports, Fields attended Georgia’s Saturday scrimmage, watching his old teammates as they prepared for the 2020 season:

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields took in the University of Georgia’s scrimmage on Saturday, looking on with friends from the bleachers, multiple sources confirmed to Dawgs247. Fields, who started a petition earlier this month on behalf of players after the Big Ten postponed the fall football season, is in Athens visiting friends and is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft should he declare.

Fields is a Georgia native, so it’s not a huge surprise he’s back in the area after the Big Ten postponed its fall season.

Still, showing up to a Georgia scrimmage will only get the transfer rumors kicked into an even higher gear.
