Some unfortunate news to share from Baton Rouge this Wednesday morning as LSU has announced one of the team’s defensive lineman has been suspended.

The Tigers announced that redshirt freshman Ray Parker has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

The Ruston, La., native was redshirted in 2019, his first season with the Tigers.

Here is Parker’s bio from the LSU website:

Played tight end at Ruston High, but is expected to make the switch to tackle once he joins the Tigers … Caught 22 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns during his senior season … Has the physical tools and footwork needed to make the switch to tackle … Rated as the nation’s No. 14 offensive tackle prospect … Named to the 2018 All-USA Louisiana Football Team as an offensive tackle … Coached by Jerrod Baugh.

Parker was rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 14 offensive tackle prospect in the nation and a top 10 overall prospect from Louisiana in the 2019 recruiting cycle coming out of Ruston High School. He signed with LSU over Ole Miss and Tennessee.
