Justin Jefferson’s professional career is off to an explosive start with three games of 100-plus receiving yards and two games of 160-plus receiving yards. He can rightfully add “NFL Rookie of the Week” to his first-year resume.

Jefferson was going to be hard to top. On Sunday, the first-year Minnesota Viking had nine catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns. With the big outing, Jefferson became just the fourth player with three, 100-yard games through his first six games played, joining Amari Cooper, Julio Jones and Byron Williams. His 175-yard and 166-yard performances are the best single-game performances by a rookie wideout since 2018.

You could say it’s about time Jefferson got recognized as the top rookie in the league. The Vikings are off in Week 7. Jefferson and company return to action in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers.
