Elsewhere, AP No. 8 ranked Penn State went down in an overtime thriller against Indiana 36-35.

ESPN’s Football Power Index updated its Top 25 teams after the Week 5 action, and Alabama moved up to No. 2 behind Ohio State. The Crimson Tide finally jumped Clemson, as the Tigers struggled against Syracuse.

Georgia (5) and Florida (9) are also ranked in the index’s top 10, and LSU (14), Auburn (17) and Texas A&M (20) all checked in the top 25.
