Yet again this week, Mac Jones showcased why he should be considered for the Heisman Trophy.

Jones passed for 302 yards and five touchdowns while leading Alabama to a 42-13 win over Auburn on Saturday. That earned him co-Offensive Player of the Week honors, which he shared with Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral, who passed for 385 yards and two touchdowns in the Rebels’ 31-24 win over Mississippi State.

Jones’ five touchdown passes were a career high and tied an Iron Bowl record. He’s also now had six games this season in which he’s thrown for more than 290 yards.

Corral’s 385 passing yards were the most by an Ole Miss quarterback in Egg Bowl history. It was his sixth 300-yard game of the season, and he led a late touchdown drive in the final minutes to lead the Rebels to victory.

Texas A&M’s defense was recognized this week, as linebacker Buddy Johnson earned Defensive Player of the week and DeMarvin Leal earned Defensive Lineman of the Week. Johnson had nine tackles and an interception in the Aggies’ 20-7 win over LSU, while Leal had seven tackles.

Vanderbilt kicker Sarah Fuller, who became the first woman to play in a Power Five game, earned co-Special Teams Player of the Week for the history she made, sharing the honor with Florida punt returner Kadarius Toney, who had a 50-yard punt return touchdown in the Gators’ 34-10 win over Kentucky.
