Emmanuel Duron, 18, has been charged with class A assault, according to a report from TheMonitor.com.

Duron was thrown out of the high school game after having words with the official for a personal foul penalty called on him, and he returned to the field from the sideline and trucked the 59-year-old head official, Fred Gracia. Gracia was sent flying to the ground and laid there for several minutes.

Bond was set at $10,000 for Duron.

Edinburg High and PSJA High in Edinburg, Texas, was being played on December 3.
