In a way, it’s Rivalry Week Part 2 in the SEC. The Week 10 slate featured traditional Thanksgiving Week rivalries like the Iron Bowl and Egg Bowl. The Week 11 schedule has rivalries, too, with traditional division rivalry clashes like Alabama-LSU and Florida-Tennessee as well as a makeup Battle Line Rivalry game.

Alabama and Florida each have the opportunity of punching their tickets to Atlanta. To clinch the SEC West, the Crimson Tide (8-0) needs either a win over LSU or for Texas A&M (6-1) to fall at Auburn. The Gators (7-1) can only clinch the SEC East with a win over Tennessee since Georgia (6-2) had its game against Vanderbilt postponed. If the Vols pull the upset, Florida will get another chance to clinch the division on Dec. 12 with a win over LSU.

ESPN’s Football Power Index predicts the winner of all 5 SEC Week 11 games:

  • Auburn (53.1 percent chance to win) vs. Texas A&M
  • Mizzou (60.1 percent) vs. Arkansas
  • Florida (85.3 percent) at Tennessee
  • Kentucky (68 percent) vs. South Carolina
  • Alabama (93.9 percent) vs. LSU

Here is ESPN’s definition of the FPI:

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 20,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily. FPI data from seasons prior to 2019 may not be complete.
