Overrated? Brian Kelly, Notre Dame hammered after loss to Clemson
Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly raised some eyebrows when he suggested leading into the ACC Championship Game that the Fighting Irish would boycott the College Football Playoff if players’ families were not allowed in the stadium.
After Clemson hammered the Irish in Charlotte, in a rematch of an earlier meeting won by Notre Dame in South Bend, the reaction among fans and media had a lot of focus on Kelly.
The Irish’s history of struggling in big games under Kelly was also a topic of discussion.
