The Cowboys season went sideways in a hurry last fall when Dak Prescott was lost for the season after appearing in just five games for the franchise.

While the two sides could not agree to a long-term extension last season, it’s easy to make the argument that Dallas found out just how valuable Prescott is to the organization after losing the quarterback to an ankle injury early on during the 2020 season.

After finishing with a winning record in each of the four seasons Prescott has started in Dallas, the Cowboys finished the season with a 6-10 record after losing Prescott this season.

Now comes word from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport that will encourage all Dallas fans.

“Based on the work he’s put in, what they think, he’s going to come back better than ever,” Rapoport said on Saturday during an appearance on NFL GameDay Morning.

Rapoport also added that Prescott is back on his feet and able to walk and that the quarterback is working on an anti-gravity treadmill and in a HydroWorx pool as the former Pro Bowl signal-caller continues rehab efforts to get back on the field for the Cowboys.
