An updated report says the items have been found after being misplaced, according to JSU officials.

Original Story:

Jackson State won the first game of the Deion Sanders era 53-0. Coach Prime, however, had bad news to share at the postgame press conference.

According to reporters covering the Jackson State-Edwaters Waters game, Sanders shared that his belongings, including his wallet and cell phone, were stolen during the game. Sanders added that only his belongings were stolen from the locker room.

“How do you think it feels, coming back, teary-eyed – the guys just presented me with the game ball, one of the best moments that I’ve ever had in my career – and you notice you don’t have a phone to call your momma, your girl, your kids, because it’s been stolen,” Sanders told reporters, per Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated.
