It appears Shadrach Banks’ time in College Station may already be coming to an end.

The Houston native enrolled at Texas A&M in late January but following the conclusion of his first spring camp in College Station, the former touted receiver prospect has entered the NCAA transfer portal. If you missed it, the Aggies held their annual spring game over the weekend.

As always, it should be noted that entering the transfer portal does not guarantee a player will be leaving but it is the first step towards a transfer.

News of Banks’ decision to enter the portal was first reported by Matt Zenitz of AL.com.

Banks was rated as a four-star prospect and the nation’s No. 18 receiver prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle. The only other early enrollee that was ranked higher than Banks in Texas A&M’s 2021 recruiting cycle is lineman Tunmise Adeleye.

Texas A&M signed Banks over scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma, among others.

He played his high school football for North Shore.
