Much like Nick Saban did earlier in the day, Charles Barkley just shared some concern when it comes to the upcoming name, image, and likeness laws that are expected to become finalized on July 1.

In a recent appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show, after appearing in the same Regions Tradition Pro-Am golf event as Saban, Barkley was asked to share his thoughts on the pending NIL rules.

While Barkley believes players like he and Bo Jackson would have made a great deal of money and sponsorships during their college careers, he believes the vast majority of players would not. That dynamic could create resentment within the locker room, according to the NBA Hall of Famer.

“What about the big ugly offensive linemen? Nobody’s going to be buying their jerseys,” Barkley said. “They are probably not going to get a car deal… It’s going to create a lot of resentment among teammates, so I’m really concerned about name, image, and likeness.”

In addition to that concern, Barkley really hates to hear anyone suggest that a college education is meaningless.
