We’re still months away from wrapping up the class of 2022 recruiting cycle, but one of the top quarterbacks in the class of 2023 is ready to make his college decision. One week ahead of announcing his commitment, 5-star prospect Malachi Nelson has named two SEC teams in his final seven.

On3’s Hayes Fawcett shared Sunday that Nelson is down to Alabama, LSU, Florida State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State and USC. Nelson is listed at 6-3, 180 pounds and rated the No. 2 QB (behind Arch Manning) and No. 5 recruit overall in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite.

The Los Alamitos (California) standout has already picked up 26 scholarship offers ahead of his junior season. His sophomore highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
