D’Andre Walker is back in Athens.

The former Georgia linebacker announced he has been hired by the football program on Tuesday.

During his first run in Athens — from 2015 -2018, Walker appeared in 54 games for the Bulldogs, emerging as a team leader by his senior season. During the 2018 season, Walker led the team with 11 tackles for loss, 7.5 QB sacks and 14 QB pressures, in addition to having 45 tackles.

At the end of his senior season, Walker was honored as co-winner of the Defensive Up Front award. At the end of his junior season, Walker was among the players to earn the Most Improved Award.

“Thankful & Excited About This New Opportunity,” Walker shared on Tuesday.

It’s unclear what exact role Walker will have in Athens this season as he is not listed on the official support staff roster on Georgia’s website at this time.
