LSU enters the 2021 season with a question mark at quarterback. However, it’s not like many other QB competitions across the country.

The Tigers have 2 solid options in Myles Brennan and Max Johnson. Both played well last year. Now, it’s just a question of who will earn the Week 1 start.

During SEC Media Days on Monday, LSU coach Ed Orgeron said it is still a neck-and-neck competition between the 2 quarterbacks:

“Both of them have shown us they can have a lot of success at LSU,” he said. “There’s an open competition. It’s tick and tack. One day, I can see Myles doing better. One day, I see Max doing better. No one has pulled ahead of the other one. In my opinion, they are starting dead-even going into camp. It’s going to be a tight race.”

LSU opens the regular season in Los Angeles against UCLA at the Rose Bowl. We might not know who will start until then.
