The Georgia Bulldogs are dealing with another injury this fall, but this one didn’t happen on the football field.

According to a report from OnlineAthens.com, freshman safety David Daniel was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday morning after getting off a university bus.

Per the report, Daniel didn’t require hospitalization, but he was scraped and cut and apparently had a wound on his thigh:

Safety David Daniel told UGA police that he sustained cuts to his left wrist and left thigh area and police noticed an open wound on his thigh, according to a police motor vehicle crash report.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because a similar thing happened last year to WR Tommy Bush on a Saturday night while he was crossing the street.

Daniel was hit by Stegeman Coliseum, per the report:

He told police he got off the bus on Carlton Street across from Stegeman Coliseum and walked in front of the bus to cross the street towards the coliseum. He said he looked to the right to make sure no vehicles were coming and then was struck by a Toyota Prius as he looked to his left.

Fortunately, it appears Daniel avoided any major injuries in the incident.
