Bill Hancock updated reporters on the latest meetings between committees related to the College Football Playoff.

Hancock, who is the executive director of the CFP, shared that the CFP management committee met win Dallas on Wednesday, and the committee will continue to discuss issues, most notably next week.

“Given the complexity of these matters, the management committee will meet again in Chicago next week to continue our discussions,” he said in a statement.

Hancock recalled that when the 12-team Playoff talk began in June, he noted that it would be a long process, and that all issues can be fully explored and addressed.

Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic reported that, “The College Football Playoff Board of Managers — the group of presidents and chancellors — will not meet next week in Chicago. The commissioners will meet to continue discussions without them.”
