Joseph Bulovas delivered a clutch kick to lift Vanderbilt to a white-knuckle win over UConn on Saturday night, as the Commodores got a victory in Nashville.

Vanderbilt won 30-28 thanks to Bulovas’ 31-yard field goal as time expired. Vanderbilt needed the kick after it gave up a 27-16 fourth-quarter lead as the Huskies scored 10 points in about 6 minutes down the stretch.

Vanderbilt setup the kick after a 7-play, 47-yard drive that took just 1:07 off the clock.

Bulovas, an Alabama transfer, spent the 2017-20 seasons with Alabama, and appeared in 26 games, and converted 22-of-29 field goals (75.9 percent).

Vanderbilt improved to 2-3, while UConn fell to 0-5.

Vanderbilt returns to action next week against Florida.
