Brock Bowers wasn’t supposed to be this big of a contributor this fall as a true freshman.

Georgia had Darnell Washington and John FitzPatrick ahead of him on the depth chart entering the 2021 season, but an injury to Washington allowed Bowers to make an impression early.

On Saturday, he made a huge catch in the third quarter against Kentucky, making an over-the-shoulder grab in the end zone from 27 yards out:

Bowers had an earlier touchdown on the drive called back due to a holding penalty on the play. No matter. He simply went out and made another big catch.

Georgia now leads 21-7. Does Kentucky have a comeback in the tank? Or is this Georgia defense going to stifle the Kentucky offense moving forward?
