Vanderbilt true freshman defensive tackle Marcus Bradley appears set to depart the program as he has entered the transfer portal, according to reports.

Bradley was a 4-star recruit, ranked as the No. 27 defensive tackle in the country in the class of 2021 by 247Sports. During his time in Nashville, he recorded a pair of tackles.

However, he failed to see the field due to disciplinary actions, with head coach Clark Lea citing the need for the Maryland native to “grow and mature” if he were to remain a part of the program moving forward.

“[W]e have to be really clear on what the expectations are and what a high-performance culture looks like and feels like. We’re waiting on him to be a part of that,” Lea said on Oct. 28.

The Commodores are coming off their latest loss, a 38-29 defeat against Missouri that dropped them to 2-7, 0-5 in the SEC. Vandy is on an 18-game conference losing streak, its last SEC win coming against Mizzou on Oct. 19, 2019. It is in an open week before facing Kentucky on Nov. 13.
