Jesse Palmer and Robert Griffin III offered a preview of Monday’s national championship game between Alabama and Georgia, and focused on the quarterbacks.

In a segment that aired during the Kansas City Chiefs-Denver Broncos game on ESPN, Rece Davis framed the discussion around Georgia having better overall talent, while Alabama has one big advantage in quarterback play.

“The Heisman Trophy winner going up against the best defense in this game in the country,” Palmer said. “So what gives? All season, Bryce Young has been poised, really good at creating when plays break down. He’s been tough, but he’s got some injury concerns up front with the offensive line. This time around he will be under more duress. He’s got to be great, and he’s got to avoid mistakes.”

Griffin focused on Georgia’s Stetson Bennett.

“But don’t you dare count out Stetson Bennett, he’s shown exponential growth in his decision making from last year to this year, and even from the SEC Championship Game to the semifinal against Michigan,” Griffin said. “He can make plays with his arm and his legs and he can definitely get these guys a national championship.”
