Justice Haynes will play in the SEC, but won’t be carrying on his father’s Georgia legacy. On Sunday, Haynes announced his commitment to Alabama.

Listed at 5-10, 200 pounds, Haynes is a top-50 overall prospect on the 247Sports Composite, where he’s rated 4-stars and the No. 4 running back of the 2023 recruiting class.

Haynes has picked up 36 scholarship offers during his recruitment. He was busy last month, visiting Georgia (June 3), Florida (June 10), Alabama (June 17) and Ohio State (June 24). Verron Haynes, Justice’s father, played at UGA before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2002.

Justice Haynes transferred to Buford for his high school senior season. One reason for his transfer is to be able to graduate and enroll in college in January 2023, per DawgNation. Haynes previously played at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell, Georgia. Highlights from his junior season can be viewed below:
