ESPN recently released its top five teams to make the College Football Playoff with the 2022 season getting underway this past week.

Of the teams, there were two SEC teams included. Alabama came in at No. 2 overall, behind only Ohio State, with a 79% chance of making it in. Behind it was Georgia, which ranked at No. 3 with a 74% chance.

Here’s a look at the complete top five teams projected to make it into the postseason:

1. Ohio State (83%)
2. Alabama (79%)
3. Georgia (74%)
4. Clemson (57%)
5. Notre Dame (30%)

Clemson and Notre Dame seem almost overrated going into this, looking at the teams each program brings into the upcoming season and the way each respectively finished last season. To have Ohio State ranked over Alabama isn’t incredibly questionable considering the quarterback situation and some of the overall talent of the team, but it is important to note that Alabama is the team favored to win it all this season.

The Crimson Tide are set to kick off the season against the Utah State Aggies at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
