Recruiting just means more in the SEC. 247Sports’ recruiting rankings are often referenced when talking about what kind of talent is on SEC rosters.

The FOX Sports crew combed through the 247Sports rankings and ranked the 14 SEC rosters by talent.

Alabama and Georgia are the clear 1 and 2 with Alabama having 14 5-stars and 59 4-stars and Georgia having 15 5-stars and 52 4-stars, but Texas A&M is close behind with 10 5-stars and 46 4-stars.

Unfortunately for Texas A&M, its talented roster couldn’t get it past Appalachian State over the weekend.

LSU is at No. 4 with 5 5-stars and 33 4-stars. Brian Kelly will look to retain that talent at the end of the season, but a rocky start isn’t helping.

Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Arkansas are middle-of-the-pack teams, all with some decent prospects.

Kentucky doesn’t have any 5-stars, but that is likely to change with a few solid seasons behind them and another one on the horizon.

Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt round out the bottom of the SEC, with Vanderbilt coming in last with 0 5-stars and 4 4-stars.
