Florida missed LB Ventrell Miller, a key member of its defense, in the closer-than-expected Week 3 win over USF. Miller would provide a huge boost for the No. 20 Gators against No. 11 Tennessee, but his status is still up in the air Saturday morning.

Adam Rittenberg of ESPN reports, per sources, that Miller will be a game-time decision after going through warmups. Florida-Tennessee is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

Miller is in Year 6 of his college football career, using the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver to return in 2022 after missing all but 2 games of the 2021 season due to injury. A multi-year starter, Miller led Florida’s 2020 defense in tackles with 88, including 7.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks.

In 2022, Miller has recorded 15 tackles (1.5 TFL)  as Florida’s starting linebacker against Utah and Kentucky. In Miller’s absence, USF rushed for 286 yards on the UF defense in Week 3.
