Creed Whittemore did not need long to find his new home. Hours after decommitting from Florida, the multi-position prospect has committed to play for Mike Leach’s Mississippi State program.

Whittemore, the younger brother of 4th-year Florida WR Trent Whittemore, has the ATH designation as a prospect. He plays quarterback for Bucholz High School in Gainesville, Florida, but has been recruited by wide receivers coach at both UF (Keary Colbert) and MSU (Steve Spurrier Jr.). Whittemore made the social media announcement Sunday.

Whittemore is listed at over 5-11 and 175 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, he is rated 3-stars, the No. 28 ATH, No. 84 Florida recruit and No. 432 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023.

In addition to Florida and Mississippi State, Whittemore has scholarship offers from 16 other schools, including Texas A&M.

With Whittemore in the class, the Bulldogs now have 16 pledges for 2023. Whittemore’s junior-season highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
