Kirk Herbstreit has 4 SEC players included in his top performers of Week 7, which was a particularly exciting week in the SEC.

Players from the SEC that made the cut: Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker and Jalin Hyatt, Alabama’s Bryce Young, and Arkansas’ KJ Jefferson.

Hooker completed 21 of his 30 passes for 385 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. All five of Hooker’s touchdowns went to Hyatt. During Hyatt’s legendary performance, he collected six receptions for 207 yards with five touchdowns, with a long of 78 yards.

In the defeat, Young completed 35 of his 52 passes for 455 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Young was questionable to play after missing Alabama’s game vs. Texas A&M in Week 6 with a shoulder injury on his throwing side.

Jefferson went 29-for-40 with five touchdowns and no interceptions in Arkansas’ 52-35 victory at BYU. Jefferson threw all five of his touchdowns during the second and third quarters.

Next up for No. 3 Tennessee is a home matchup against UT Martin on Saturday (12 p.m. ET/SEC Network). No. 6 Alabama will aim to avoid a losing streak when they host No. 24 Mississippi State on Saturday (7 p.m. ET/ESPN). Arkansas will go for two wins in a row as they travel to take on Auburn after their bye week on Oct. 29 (12 p.m. ET/SEC Network).
