Danny Kanell is at it again with targeting the SEC.

Kanell recently took to Twitter to discuss his disdain toward the bias of the SEC. After the initial College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday night, Kannell called out ESPN for its constant conversations of have 3 schools from the SEC make the final 4.

“Can’t believe how much air has been wasted on this 3 SEC teams in the CFB Playoff scenario … it’s not happening. Like zero percent chance. And yet that’s all ESPN wants to talk about. It’s almost like they have a vested interest.”

Currently, Tennessee is ranked No. 1 following its win over Kentucky on Saturday. Georgia, which plays host to the Vols on Saturday, is ranked No. 3. Alabama, which might still have the clearest path to returning to the CFP, came in at No. 6.

Chaos would have to ensure for 3 SEC teams to make the CFP. Georgia or Tennessee will suffer its first loss following Saturday’s matchup between the hedges, meaning it likely misses out on the SEC Championship game. From there, the winner between the Vols and Bulldogs would have to lose to the Crimson Tide for Alabama to return to postseason football.

After that, all 4 other Power 5 conferences would have to implode. Both Ohio State and Michigan would likely have to suffer at least 1 loss during the regular season, if not 2. The same could be said for Clemson, which currently sits at No. 4 in the CFP standings. The Big 12 would need TCU to finish with at least 1 loss during the regular season to set up a must-win situation in Arlington come Dec. 3. Currently, the Pac-12 might be out of the running as it remains the lone conference without an undefeated team.

This isn’t to say 3 SEC schools won’t be in the running to make the CFP, but all 3 actually making the final 4 seems far-fetched entering November.
