As the only Power 5 team to finish the season undefeated, No. 1 Alabama has locked up a spot in the College Football Playoff for all intents and purposes.

In a surprise to absolutely no one, Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban is not a fan of the storyline that his team could (shockingly) drop the SEC Championship Game and still make the final four.

“Well I hate it when you say that,” Saban said, per AL.com’s Michael Casagrande. “I hate it when they put that on TV, radio, internet, any kind of communication. Look, I’m really proud of our team. But really, the legacy of this team still lies ahead in terms of what they can accomplish and what they can accomplish and what they can do.”

The coach’s line of thinking is shared by at least one of his players, RB Damien Harris.

“Anybody that says you can afford to lose a game doesn’t know what it’s like to play sports,” Harris said.

Harris and the No. 1 Crimson Tide (12-0, 8-0 SEC) face No. 15 Florida (8-3, 6-2) Saturday in Atlanta at 4 p.m ET.
