The college football Week 1 slate didn’t disappoint.

From Thursday through Sunday, fans witnessed every top 25 team play and the result. Monday night, No. 20 Virginia Tech’s win over No. 19 Florida State was certainly a statement.

The Week 2 AP Top 25 is due out at 2:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Here’s our projection for the new top 25.

All total, five ranked teams lost in Week 1 over the Labor Day holiday weekend. The biggest surprise, No. 23 Texas, lost to an unranked Maryland Saturday. Tom Herman’s club is hurting after that upset. South Carolina, the team that was essentially ranked No. 26 just outside the Top 25, will be ranked in Tuesday’s poll.
