The college football rankings get a boost this week with the first release of the College Football Playoff rankings Tuesday night on ESPN. The AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll will be released Sunday afternoon.

Who will be ranked No. 1 in Sunday’s AP Top 25 may differ from Tuesday night. Georgia is currently ranked No. 1 in the AP; however, one could easily argue that Tennessee will be ranked No. 1 Tuesday night based on resume alone. The Vols were ranked No. 3 last week in the AP Top 25, but they will likely move to No. 2 after defeating Kentucky and ahead of playing No. 1 Georgia.

For now, however, below is how we think the AP Top 25 will look Sunday afternoon.
