An Iowa State fan who made a viral sign at last week’s “College GameDay” show on ESPN has received matching support from a major beer company.

As a joke, Carson King made a sign for the show, which was held in Ames, Iowa Saturday ahead of the Iowa-Iowa State game, as he asked for money to replenish his Busch Light supply. He posted his Venmo account name and the money poured in. More than he could have possibly expected, according to 13-WHOTV.

King reported that he’s collected more than $1,600, and would donate the remaining amount after a case of beer purchase to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City. Now Busch Beer has said it would match his donations and throw in a case of beer for his supply. The hospital has become well known as a place where fans at Iowa football games turn and wave from the stadium to the patients in the hospital.

“Their hospital does great things for the state of Iowa. Both for Iowa State and the University of Iowa,” said King, who hatched the idea after a call to his parents. The wave is a huge thing now. Those kids are fighters and they deserve any chance they can get.”
