...and the first time we beat Florida that year was with a 2nd chance PAT in the Swamp, in a game replete with missed kicks.
His Biletnikoff moment for me came in the 2nd Quarter of the LSU game. He caught a slant, faked his way into a hole, spun out of two tackles, and stiff-armed his way into the endzone. He was 95% responsible for that entire play, which tied the game and shifted momentum.
I'm sure it was difficult not editing it to include Bane Kiffin, but Nick SaBane works too I guess.
haha, I talk to fans all the time that think he's going to start next year. I got news for my brethren in T-town: there are 3 very talented QBs ahead of him in The Process, and my advice would be to redshirt next year and focus on a starting position from 2017 or 2018 (2-3 years of eligibility left).
It's hard to act like you've been there before when it's the first year anyone has been, but this is familiar territory for Bama, nonetheless.
2008 all over again. Let's hope for a better SEC Championship outcome this time.
Even if Miles left, a defensive back should still go because John Chavis, Tommy Moffitt, and Corey Raymond will turn him into a 1st Rounder.
That lady in the houndstooth jacket and red scarf nailed it. Twice.
I recall a battle for Cyrus Jones (who is from Maryland). If we pull Lawrence Cager and Isaiah Prince that hatred will be more than justified.
haha, I was coming to post that exact statement. This year's Iron Bowl was the first time I picked Bama to beat the spread in years, and they still almost didn't.
Yeah, more like "From LSU, with intense hatred and jealousy"
I remember listening to Finebaum with my dad in the late-90s when Alabama was heading toward rock bottom. I didn't know then why dad was yelling at the radio, but it was because Paul was trashing Bama every chance he got. Finebaum loves easy targets, and he's a ratings hawk, hence his move to ESPN. Finebaum's show is 4% analysis and 96% amusing call-ins.
You should put that mouth of yours towards something more worthwhile, too...like shutting the f*ck up.
tell your mother in law to go f*ck herself with her computar
Funny. I bash Verne Lundquist for seemingly disliking Bama...like when he slobbered all over Zach Mettenberger last year, or when both Gary and Verne trashed LaMichael Fanning for his tackle at Missouri, etc. As a Broncos fan, I hate Phil Simms for not worshiping Peyton Manning, but do I think he intentionally bashes Denver? No, he's just an idiot, like Gary Danielson. They aren't robots, and Saturday's game was intense enough to elicit respect from the "color guy."
They were on the right track - you can thank John L Smith for Arkansas' condition the last few years.
He's got a good thing at Bama, and could inherit the throne sooner than we think..
Weird how "Dowell needs to add size" at 6-1/180, while Deionte Thompson is 6-2, same size, and the 2nd best safety in the country. Is Dowell supposed to grow taller or something?
Work ethic earns playing time at Bama. Cam Robinson and Andre Smith started Day 1, Chance Warmack started 5 games as a true freshman, and Cyrus K. played every game his first year until an injury vs. UT
Nope. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southeastern_Conference
TAMU's scoring defense is pretty awful man, like 37th Percentile nationally. Granted, they gave up those pts to some highly rated scoring offenses (Georgia avgs 42/game, MSU ~38, Auburn and USC about 35/game, Arky 34), but still, those averages actually rose by playing TAMU.
Pruitt had Auburn's number (he's coached against them every year since 2007), and they definitely unloaded their own grief on the Tigers, but the data say: 1) The East is 39-31 overall, The West is 52-20 overall... 2) cannibalization is responsible for a lot of The West's chaos, but Vandy is somehow still winless in a division with <40 wins and the top two teams STILL have 2 losses each... 3) UGA is the only East team with 3 wins against Top 25 opponents, while 3 different teams in the West can claim that achievement.... Trashing the SEC West is trashing the 3-4 best teams in the SEC, so y'all should probably take your whining to ESPN, where you'd have to use Alabama and Miss St. to defend yourselves against fans from the PAC and BIGs.
I had forgotten about the Georgia Southern game last year..I'm sure a lot of Florida fans wish they could, too. I was in Bryant-Denny for UL-Monroe in 2007, and it's one of the most embarrassing things that I've ever experienced.
